"Alas! I have lost my wallet," he exclaimed.

• Exclamatory sentence এর ক্ষেত্রে, direct speech থেকে indirect speech করার নিয়ম:
- Direct speech দ্বারা আনন্দ বুঝালে Reporting verb পরিবর্তিত হয়ে "exclaimed/exclaimed with joy" আর দুঃখ বুঝালে "exclaimed/exclaimed with sorrow/ grief" হয়।
- Inverted comma উঠে that বসবে।
- reported speech এর Subject বসে।
- Reporting verb অনুযায়ী reported speech এর verb বসবে।
- very/great বসবে।
- adjective বসবে।
-  বাকি অংশ (যদি থাকে)।

•  Direct Narration এ reporting clause (he said, said he) ইত্যাদি, reported speech এর প্রথমে, মাঝখানে অথবা পিছনে থাকতে পারে।
- কিন্তু indirect speech এ reporting clause সব সময় বাক্যের প্রথমে বসাতে হয়।
- Reporting verb টি past tense এ হওয়ায়, Reported speech - ও past tense এ হবে।
- প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যে Direct speech এ have আছে তাই indirect এ had হবে।
- যেহেতু সুঃখজনক ঘটনা তাই exclaimed/exclaimed with sorrow/ grief হবে।

• নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক উত্তর:
Direct Speech: "Alas! I have lost my wallet," he exclaimed.
Indirect Speech: He exclaimed with sorrow that he had lost his wallet.
