- সাধারণত Metaphor দ্বারা এমন দুইটি জিনিসের মধ্যে তুলনা দেওয়া হয় যারা একই রকম বা সদৃশ নয় কিন্তু তাদের মধ্যে কিছু সাধারণ মিল থাকে।
- Metaphor এবং Simile এর মাঝে পার্থক্য হলো As ও Like এর উল্লেখ না থাকা।
- অর্থাৎ উপমাবাচক শব্দের প্রয়োগ না করে, উভয়ের মধ্যে সাধারণ গুনের উল্লেখ না করে সাদৃশ্য প্রদর্শনের নাম Metaphor.
